- In-house counsel for Developers Diversified Realty Corporation in Beachwood, Ohio, where he was primarily responsible for new store leasing, development and property management (1997 to 2000).
- In-house counsel for Big Lots, Inc., a national retailer located in Columbus, Ohio, where he was primarily responsible for new store leasing and property management. (1994 to 1997).
