Home Depot Buys 7-Acre Coca-Cola Site for $63m

Hartman Simons Closes Deal For Home Depot

8/23/17

Hartman Simons’ Jeremy Cohen and Benjamin Noe worked on closing a deal for Home Depot, resulting in the Company acquiring a 7.3-acre site that houses a Coca-Cola bottling plant for $63 million.

Now that the site has been acquired, Home Depot has plans for a retail store on the site. However, the big box store will not be built until the expiration of Coca-Cola Bottling Company’s triple-net-lease expires in March 2020. Home Depot will either convert the existing property or build a new store.

If the Company decides to construct a new retail store, sources indicate the size will be significantly smaller, between 100,000 to 130,000 square feet. Nothing has been determined yet.
